Job Summary

The Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of patients, staff, visitors, officials, and materials. The role includes maintaining the assigned vehicle in good condition, ensuring compliance with traffic regulations, and supporting transportation-related operational requirements of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Driving & Transportation
Operate assigned vehicles safely and in accordance with traffic laws and organizational policies.
Transport patients, employees, management personnel, visitors, and guests to designated locations as required.
Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off services.
Support emergency transportation requirements when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and logbooks.
Vehicle Maintenance
Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle, including fuel level, engine oil, brakes, tires, lights, battery, and coolant.
Keep the vehicle clean, presentable, and in good working condition at all times.
Report any mechanical issues, damages, or maintenance needs promptly.
Ensure all vehicle documents (Registration Certificate, Insurance, Pollution Certificate, Permit, etc.) remain valid and up to date.
Safety & Compliance
Adhere to all traffic rules, road safety regulations, and organizational policies.
Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers during transportation.
Follow emergency and accident-reporting procedures when required.
Avoid reckless driving and maintain professional conduct at all times.
Administrative Support
Deliver documents, medical reports, medicines, equipment, and other official materials as assigned.
Assist with transportation-related administrative tasks.
Perform additional duties assigned by the management from time to time.
Qualifications
Minimum High School (10th Pass) or equivalent.
Valid LMV/Commercial Driving License.
Good knowledge of traffic regulations and road safety practices.
Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of driving experience.
Experience in a hospital, healthcare facility, or corporate organization is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Safe and defensive driving skills.
Good knowledge of local routes and navigation systems.
Time management and punctuality.
Professional attitude and customer service orientation.
Ability to remain calm and responsive during emergencies.
Basic vehicle troubleshooting knowledge.
Working Conditions
May require shift duties, weekend work, and emergency availability.
Outdoor work involving frequent travel.
Compliance with organizational transport and safety policies is mandatory.
