Interpret Technical Blueprints And Technical DrawingsJob Description
Programming: Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for turning machines to meet technical drawing specifications.
Setting Up Machines: Set up tools, chuck jaws, and fixtures. They perform "first-off" checks to ensure the initial setup is accurate before full production.
Tool Management: Select appropriate cutting tools and inserts for materials & monitoring tool life to prevent breakdowns.
Blueprint Analysis: Interpret technical blueprints and technical drawings to determine dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of operations.
Quality Inspection: Use precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify that finished components meet dimension as per drawing.
Optimization: Improve production efficiency and decrease cycle times by optimizing programs and cutting parameters
Proficiency in CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens & Mitsubishi).
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Understanding of machining theory, CAD/CAM software, and tooling
Use CNC programming codes to effectively control CNC machines
Deal with all kinds of materials, ranging from metal (Aluminum, copper, brass, MS & SS etc.)
Check the inventory levels and raw materials and ensure that there is always sufficient stock
Perform basic maintenance and checks on machines while performing other CNC programmer job roles
Adjust machine settings as per the requirement in hand, while ensuring that the machines are clean and well-maintained
Train team members such as CNC operators and setter staff to effectively use the CNC equipment
