Job Title: Pharmacist
Job Summary:
We are looking for a responsible and qualified Pharmacist to join our hospital team. The candidate will be responsible for dispensing medicines safely, maintaining proper medication records, ensuring accurate inventory management, and providing excellent support to patients and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispense medicines accurately as per valid prescriptions.
Verify prescriptions and ensure the correct medicine, dosage, and quantity are provided.
Explain the dosage and proper usage of medicines to patients when required.
Maintain proper records of medicines, stock, purchases, and sales.
Monitor stock levels and check expiry dates regularly.
Ensure proper storage of medicines as per required conditions.
Maintain proper documentation and pharmacy registers.
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medications.
Follow all hospital policies, pharmacy regulations, and safety procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the pharmacy.
Report near-expiry, expired, damaged, or shortage of medicines to the concerned authority.
Perform other pharmacy-related duties assigned by the management.
Qualifications:
D.Pharm or B.Pharm from a recognized institution.
Valid registration with the State Pharmacy Council.
Experience:
Freshers and experienced candidates may apply.
Hospital pharmacy experience will be an added advantage.
Skills Required:
Good knowledge of medicines and prescriptions.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer knowledge.
Inventory and stock management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work in a team.
Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
