Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-process and final inspection of steel and sheet-metal components.
Ensure quality as per engineering drawings, specifications and standards.
Operate and handle UTM (Universal Testing Machine).
Perform Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, CAPA and 8D.
Apply 7 QC Tools and 5S for quality improvement.
Handle Vernier Caliper, Micrometer and other measuring instruments.
Manage and coordinate quality manpower on the shop floor.
Maintain inspection reports, quality records and rejection data.
Coordinate with Production for defect control and corrective actions.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of Steel / Sheet Metal manufacturing
Good knowledge of Engineering Drawing & GD&T
Practical knowledge of UTM Machine
Manpower handling & team management
Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, CAPA, 8D & Root Cause Analysis
Good MS Excel knowledge
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
